Precision Granite Surface Plates are made of black granite which is stronger and denser than light colored granite, is more stable, and wears longer. The granite properties determine the stiffness of the granite therefore accuracies can be guaranteed with less thickness than other types of granite. This translates to less freight and handling costs whenever the plate is shipped or moved. Our standard sizes are on our price lists. We have capabilities to manufacture almost any size requested. The precision granite surface plates have stands available as well. There are two stand options. The steel stationary or the caster stand with locks. These plates are all manufactured in the United States of America.

Precision Granite Surface plates are proudly certified to ISO 9001 and is accredited by the prestigious A2LA body to ISO/IEC 17025 and meets requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1. These accuracies are ensured by using test equipment calibrated and traceable to N.I.S.T. and/or other national or international calibration standards. The black surface plates are manufactured to meet or exceed the tolerances specified by Federal Specification GGG-P-463c and ASME B89.3.7-2013 guaranteeing both overall surface flatness and repeat gage measurement accuracy.
