The two main types of measurement conducted by the Mitutoyo laser micrometer are diameter measurement and interval measurement. In diameter measurement,
the object or part which you need to measure is placed centrally into the laser beam of the micrometer. Then on the central display device, the measurement
of the diameter of the part can be read. Alternatively, with interval measurement, two parts or objects can be placed within the laser beam of the micrometer.
The readout then provides the distance between the two parts. Furthermore, when using interval measurement, the furthest distance between the two parts
can also be measured.
