Dial bore gage
A dial bore gage is a precision measurement tool used to measure the inside diameter of a bore, hole, cylinder, or pipe. Dial bore gages are calibrated to 0.001inch or 0.0001 inch and provide a great degree of accuracy. A basic dial bore gage is made of up a dial indicator, which reads out the measurement, a measuring sled, and a shaft connecting the two. On the measuring sled, there is typically three different guides and an actuating plunger. Dial bore gages are ideal for providing very precise measurements of holes, as well as valuable information about the roundness and wear of a hole.
