Digital Indicator

A more modern version of the dial indicator, the digital indicator includes a digital display and linear encoders in the place of clockwork. Unlike the more simple dial indicators, digital indicators are typically built to both record and transmit measurements electronically to a computer, eliminating the need for manual transcription of this data. One enormous benefit of this process built into digital indicators is that it avoids the risk of human error when recording data. Additionally, digital indicators are a great improvement on speed and productivity, quickly transmitting data, and automatically applying unit conversions.
