Shipping Policy

Shipping Costs & Order Processing

• Customers are responsible for all shipping costs unless otherwise stated.

• While shipping timelines are not guaranteed, most in-stock items ship within 3–5 business days after an order is placed.

• Shipping times may vary based on manufacturer availability, carrier delays, or order verification requirements.

Back-Ordered Items

• If an item is on back order, HigherPrecision.com, LLC will contact you via email with an estimated ship date.

• If a back-ordered item exceeds 45 days, the order may be canceled with no restocking fee. We will always work to help find you a substitute that is in stock if possible.

• If you cancel a back-ordered item that is scheduled to ship within 45 days, a 25% restocking fee will apply.

  • To avoid restocking fees, we strongly recommend confirming stock availability with Higher Precision or the manufacturer before placing your order.

Product Images

• Product images are provided by the manufacturer whenever available.

• In some cases, substitute images may be used if manufacturer images are unavailable.

Freight Forwarders

• Mitutoyo products cannot be shipped to freight forwarders.

• Orders shipping to freight forwarders require a $850.00 minimum order.

• Any Mitutoyo order shipped to a freight forwarder will incur additional shipping charges.

• UPS Red (Next Day Air Early AM) shipments to freight forwarders are not accepted unless prior arrangements are made.

International Orders

• International orders must meet a $750.00 minimum order value.

• International shipments are subject to additional shipping charges.

• For international orders, products must first ship from the manufacturer to the Higher Precision office before being forwarded internationally. This means there will be two shipping charges.

• We ship international orders once a week. Once we receive the product from the manufacturer, your order will ship within 5–7 days.

Custom Orders

• All custom orders require full payment in advance.

• Custom orders are non-cancelable once processing has begun.

Pricing & Payment Terms

• All pricing is subject to change at any time without notice.

• Higher Precision can cancel orders if there are pricing discrepancies with the manufacturer

• First-time customers are not eligible for Net 30 terms.

• Net 30 terms may be granted only after a customer has completed $30,000 in purchases for three consecutive months with Higher Precision.

• Until approved for Net 30, payment must be made via credit card or wire transfer.

Fraud Prevention & Residential Shipments

Due to increased online fraud, additional verification may be required:

• Orders shipping to a personal residence may take up to 2–3 weeks to be released.

• Orders placed using a personal email address not associated with a business may also take up to 2–3 weeks to be released.

• All residential deliveries require a signature upon delivery and will incur a $5 signature fee.

• Orders where the billing and shipping addresses are different residential addresses will be flagged and placed on hold until we speak with the customer directly. If we do not here from a customer after 2-3 weeks the order will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
