Ball probe tip

On a standard ball probe, the ball probe tip is the part on the very end of the stylus. The ball probe tip is the part of the tool that is used to assess and measure the flatness of a surface. Ball probe tips can be made of different materials, and choosing the proper material for the specific measurement you need is important. Some examples of materials that ball probe tips are made of include: ceramic carbide, tungsten carbide, zirconia, silicon nitride, and ruby.
