Digi-Pas Technologies Inc., a company of the global Digi-Pas Group, produces and distributes intelligent precious measuring instruments, electronic components and smart locking devices. Founded by Dr. Jim Li, who holds a PhD from Cambridge University, Digi-Pas Group owns over 40 different patents and trademarks in advanced technology deployment to electronic devices and manufacturing processes. The business is driven by a focus on “transformative innovation,” or what it describes as using new and emerging technologies to improve upon existing tools and products — and as a result, creating new innovations that benefit clients in their respective industries.
Products overview
Digi-Pas Technologies designs, manufactures and distributes several innovative products, such as the following:
- Flexible flat cable (FFC) and interconnects, a business division acquired from SONY Chemical & Information Device, Japan
- IoT-enabled Smart Locks, under their eGeeTouch® division, which replace standard luggage locks to provide enhanced security for travelers
- Dual-axis Precision Digital Leveling Instruments and Inclinometers embedded with MEMS (Microelectromechanical systems) sensor technology
At the start of the pandemic in 2020, Digi-Pas also produced millions of reusable N95 face masks to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Product spotlight: Digital dual-axis levels and inclinometers
Higher Precision is proud to offer the largest selection of Digi-Pas levels available for purchase online. These instruments are used by some of the most technologically advanced companies, research labs and government institutions worldwide, including NASA, Boeing, Airbus, Space-X, Raytheon, the US Navy and US Naval Research Laboratory, US Air Force, TESLA, Mitsubishi, Cambridge’s Cavendish Laboratory, MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory, and numerous others.
Digi-Pas’s intelligent dual-axis leveling instruments and inclinometers are intended to replace the use of conventional spirit bubble levels and single-axis inclinometers. These instruments are more advanced than their traditional counterparts, due to features such as:
Dual-axis measurement
Conventional spirit levels and pendulum inclinometers are only built for single-axis measurement — but tasks involving precision leveling, angle measurement and alignment involve a two-dimensional surface plane with an X and Y axis, as opposed to two separate single-axis lines. Dual-axis technology provides “simultaneous angles display and real-time continuous tracking of tilted-plane angular readings” to increase speed and precision in the field.
Thermocompensated MEMS technology
Thanks to this advanced technology, these high precision levels and inclinometers compensate for nonlinearity and temperature variations. Further, the sensor has no mechanical moving parts, eliminating the need for maintenance.
Calibration certifications
Digi-Pas precision measurement instruments aren’t just marketed as advanced: they’re backed up by multiple calibration certifications under the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation. All of their measurement tools are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS); the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS); and the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), or the German institute for standardization.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What are the benefits of using Digi-Pas’ digital leveling instruments and inclinometers?
Digi-Pas levels and inclinometers use dual-axis measurement, which is more precise and offers simultaneous angles display and tilted-plane angular readings in real time. Additionally, thanks to thermocompensated MEMS technology, these instruments are compensated for nonlinearity and temperature variations. With no moving parts to the sensor, there is no need for maintenance.
- How does Digi-Pas guarantee the accuracy of their products?
All of Digi-Pas’ measuring instruments have calibrations certifications traceable to NIST, JIS, UKAS and DIN under the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation.
